About the Event
An Evening on the Pier is an annual event benefiting Childhaven; a local non-profit organization with its roots on Capitol Hill. This local institution has been around for over 100 years, and is a recognized leader in therapeutic childcare for the youngest victims of abuse and neglect. By focusing on research-based methods of attentive care, developmental therapy and parenting education, Childhaven's approach is proven to forever change lives.
The Childhaven Mission: To prevent and stop the cycle of abuse and neglect through scientifically-supported programs that protect and treat children aged one month through five years, and their families.
The Board for “An Evening on the Pier” has taken on the cause of supporting this wonderful organization, which has been hit hard by state budget cuts, and are striving to support the children in current programs being affected, as well as our community in general.
Event Details
Our venue for this benefit will be held on Saturday, February 4th from 8-12am, at the spellbinding Seattle Aquarium. Its breathtaking 20X40 feet main exhibit window allows you to experience a one-of-a-kind glimpse in to the life of 800 fish varieties under the surface of the Puget sound; while you enjoy complimentary liquor, wine, gourmet h'or d'oeuvre's, and delicious handcrafted cupcakes by Cake Envy.
With generous sponsors donating their products &services, we have lined up numerous raffle items for all attending guests from organizations such as the Seattle Seahawks &Sounders, W Hotel, Swink Style Bar, Neiman Marcus, SIP Northwest Magazine and many more. Guests can purchase tickets through our online vendor, Brown Paper Tickets and choose from two ticket options:
General Admission: $55 per person
VIP Admission (limited to 100): $75 per person, which includes extra amenities!

Event Guests
James Sun
James Sun is known as a public speaker and television personality who is often invited to speak on topics ranging from entrepreneurship, social media, mobile convergence, and international business. He was the first Seattle native to become a finalist on Donald Trump's hit reality show, "The Apprentice"; which led him to became the host of a television show called, "War on Business". This platform provided him the opportunity to play the role of a business guru who travels around the world, meet ambitious entrepreneurs and seek to give them lessons on how to grow their businesses using principles from "Sun Tzu's Art of War". Besides being an entrepreneur, James is also a philanthropist who sits on the Board of the United Way of King County, which provides $100 Million annually, to help communities in Washington. Additionally, he is an active Board Member of the King County Scoutreach Program, which supports Boy Scout opportunities for underprivileged inner-city children, as well as on the advisory board of Seeyourimpact.org, which is an online micro-donations non-profit that supports third world country children. Finally, James is a proud Husky and on the Board of the University of Washington Alumni Association.

DJ Risk One
Live music will be provided by West Coast's premier mixer, DJ Risk One, who will appeal to your audible senses with his unique style of flavor and energy! He is all-in-one party starter who is "just a little bit better than DOPE." His credentials range from San Francisco, Seattle, Vegas to Shanghai.
